Masks

Please note that it is compulsory that you wear a mask to the clinic. If you do not have one you can not come in. We do not provide them, as the government has not sent out any masks that we can supply to our patients. However if you do require masks we do believe that the Reservoir Newsagent across the road from us does have stock  as well as My Chemist.

What if my coronavirus (COVID-19) test was negative?

If you are unwell, and your coronavirus (COVID-19) test was negative, you should still isolate at home until your symptoms have completely gone. Taking this precaution will stop you passing any illness on to others. However if you need medical attention please call the clinic and organize a tele-health appointment with your doctor.

Who is required to quarantine?

The following groups are required to quarantine

  • international travelers – please see international travelers section on this website
  • people living with a diagnosed person
  • people who have come into close contact with a person who is confirmed to have coronavirus (COVID-19).
  • People who have been advised by the Department of Health and Human Services that they have been exposed to an ‘exposure site’.

If you have serious symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, call triple zero (000) and ask for an ambulance. You should disclose any recent contact with a person confirmed to have coronavirus (COVID-19).

If, at the end of 14 days, you are unwell with respiratory symptoms, you must continue to stay in quarantine. Call the dedicated coronavirus (COVID-19) hotline on 1800 675 398 (24 hours, 7 days a week) to find out what you should do next.

Face to face and telehealth consultations

Due to the current corona virus epidemic, there is much uncertainty and anxiety about the COVID-19 virus. The Government is encouraging people to limit their movements and stay at home where possible. Despite the epidemic we are still open and we are still seeing patients face to face if required.

However if you wish to have a telehealth appointment we can also arrange one for you.

Whether you have a medical condition, seeking advice, or anxious about the spread of COVID-19, you can arrange an appointment to speak with a Medical Practitioner in strict confidence and privacy via telephone.This service is available for all patients as a bulk billed service with no out of pocket expense for the duration the Government is providing a Medicare benefit for Telehealth Services.

Please call the clinic on 9460 2288 and speak with our reception staff to book an appointment weather it be face to face or a telehealth consultation.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In line with the latest information from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and influenza, we request that if attending Oakhill Clinic to please call ahead to reception on 9460 2288 if:

  • You have a fever, shortness of breath or cough; AND
  • You have travelled internationally in the last 14 days, OR
  • You have had close or casual contact with someone who has received a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in the last 14 days
